ROSKILDE FESTIVAL

Other Currents by Apeiron Crew X PHONO festival | Yen Towers | Bleaker | DJ Hvad | East camping, Roskilde Festival | Tuesday, June 27th |

We’re utterly grateful for the generous help that Roskilde foundation has supported us with.

Not only have we received a donation from the foundation, we’ve also been invited to host Roskilde Festival’s new stage called East on Tuesday June 27th. Along with Apeiron Crew we’ve created a night of everything from advanced polyrhythmic, funky industrial, oldskool deep water electro to modern techno bangers. The great venue TAPE in Aarhus will host the early hours and they’ve invited Lee Gamble.

Yen Towers (DK)

Tight, tasty and beauty – just as you like it. Yen Towers is Danish Simon Forsmann’s solo project that orientates towards electro-infused techno with a successful navigation between edgy sci-fi samples and harsh beat patterns. His debut release ‘Bidders Must Justify Their Price’ is a perfect example of Yen Towers wide range of skill from the more ambient structure to the pure kicks on the floor – always executed with a high level of precision.

Bleaker (SCO)

Bleaker shot to international recognition with his 2015 anthem, ‘Hype Funk’ on UTTU, a functional banger heard in almost every good club set for the best part of a year after its release. Now, he seems keen to show that he’s more than just a hit machine. A member of Manchester-based collective Gang Fatale and part of the team in charge of programming Subcity, the Glasgow freeform radio station, Bleaker has more than just club bangers to offer. His DJ sets demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the floor that far exceed what’s usually expected of a relative newcomer.

DJ HVAD (DK)

Since 2000’s DJ HVAD aka Hari Kishore has been a prime catalyst on the electronic music scene in Denmark. Both as part of Albertslund Terrorkorps, Syg Nok and latest Kommunal Dubplate he has pushed far more boundaries than any army. His sets have an impressive versatility, genre- bending appeal and he puts a distinct spin on every dancefloor. You can expect a delivery on everything from dustbowl belters to fresh gabba anthems. He scratches that itch perfectly.
