Christelle Gualdi started her career as part of a wave of bands who had rediscovered the cosmic synth-driven music of the seventies, had blown the cobwebs off it and reassembled it in new, kaleidoscopic patterns. However, the purchase of a Roland TR-303 radically changed her sound, that substituted Düsseldorf for Detroit.

The hardware-based techno of Stellar Om Source has an improvised and organic feel to it, which is not a hundred miles removed from the grainy, melodic house of her collaborative partner, Kassem Mosse, while still remaining utterly her own.
