Débruit & Alsarah (FR/US)
French producer Xavier Thomas aka Débruit visited Phono Festival in 2009 and again in 2012. This year he is touring with american-sudanese singer Alsarah. Their album ‘Aljawal’ was proclaimed one of the ‘ten favorite world music albums of 2013’ by NPR.
Julien Deblois performed as Debmaster on Phono Festival three years ago. Just earlier this month he left the audience on the massive Distortion festival in Copenhagen speechless when he played both a live-set and a two-hour-long dj-set at the PHONO-stage.
Joe Howe (UK)
Played PHONO11 as one half of Ben Butler & Mousepad. According to the danish music magazine Geiger, their “energy, unpredictability and blissed out melodies” made their performance the best of the night. Just two months ago he released his first album ‘EXEP’ under his own name.
